Annual Atlanta Daikomyosai seminar + Party;   Instruction by all teachers attending

This event is the annual Atlanta 'ko-Daikomyosai' training event and year-end dinner party - Two great events in one!

'Ko-Daikomyosai' is a continuation of the annual Atlanta Daikomyosai traditional seminar, where instructors attending are invited to share a technique or concept.   This tradition spans roughly 30 years and is a great chance to see different ideas on training and varying instructors' viewpoints.

It’s also a celebration of Hatsumi Soke’s birthday.   Each year, Dr. Hatsumi celebrates his birthday by inviting students from around the world to come and train for a few days in Japan, ending with a big birthday party.   The Atlanta Daikomyosai event is our way of saying ‘Happy Birthday’ to him through training & socializing with friends, and our own year-end banquet.

TRAINING:   On Saturday, Dec 10, there will be training during the day, and the dinner & party will be that night.   Training will be at the Atlanta dojo, starting at 12 noon and going until around 4pm.   You never know what the various instructors will be sharing, so be prepared with the gear you bring. :)   This is a great chance to see perspectives and ideas from different instructors and practitioners, and we hope you can make it!   (Let us know if you're coming and need directions to the dojo.)

REGISTRATION:   Seminar cost is $35 if paid by Dec 2nd or $40 after.   Make your payment to: "Atlanta Bujinkan", and send it c/o Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo, 2566 Shallowford Rd., Suite 104-360, Atlanta, Georgia 30345.   Checks are okay until Dec 2nd.   After that, please pay by cash, cashiers check or money order only.

When mailing your registration payment, please include a note with details:   Your Name, Contact Info (phone number, address & e-mail address), Number of people you're paying for (& their names if you're paying for someone else), etc.   Daikomyosai will be here before you know it, so register soon!

DINNER PARTY:   Saturday night, the dinner party will be an excellent time as always!   We'll have an opportunity for some awards & presentations, along with a great time with friends, socializing, jokes and stories, and pictures from the year.   You can also bring a guest / spouse / significant other, and give them the chance to meet and hang out with the people you spend so much time with during the year. :)

The dinner party will be at a local restaurant, instead of a catered dinner at a hotel, so everyone can order what they want from the menu and spend as much or as little as they like.   (Dinner is not included in the training registration fee.)  

This year's dinner will be at Shoya Japanese Restaurant, and the party will start at 7:00 pm.   To help with the volume of handling of food for the group, the restaurant has asked to get as many of our orders as possible ahead of time.   If you can, visit their website to see their menu, pick what you want, and email Charles Barden with your order at: 'charlesgbarden [at] yahoo [dot] com'.   Charles is one of the Atlanta dojo members, and he has volunteered to coordinate the pre-orders for us.   (If you can't order ahead of time, that's okay.   It just may take a little longer for you to get your order that night.)

Be sure to RSVP by email to 'seminars [at] atlantabujinkan [dot] com' and let us know if you are coming to the dinner for sure, so we will have an idea of how many people to plan for.   Please RSVP as soon as you can - by Dec 2nd if at all possible.

The Buinkan Kokoro Dojo hosts the return of Roy Wilkinson to the UK.   This two-day seminar will be held Spring 2012 in Dewsbury, and there will be loads of good training and an excellent time as always.
