June 25 and 29, 2009 - Atlanta, Georgia -
Special Training with Moti Nativ (Israel) - Taijutsu and Krav Maga

In conjunction with the annual Bujinkan training event, TaiKai USA, the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo will be hosting one of the TaiKai instructors, Shihan Moti Nativ from Israel, for two extra training sessions:   Thursday, June 25, and Monday, June 29.   Both sessions are open to martial artists from any style.

The extra training sessions will be held at the Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo (new location!), rather than the TaiKai hotel, and they will start at 7:00pm each night.   Each session is $30 per person, or $55 for both.   You can pay in advance (credit card or PayPal) or pay at the door (cash only).   In either case, please email to let us know you're coming.   Directions via return email.

Thursday, June 25 - On Thursday night, Moti will teach a Bujinkan Taijutsu session targeted for instructors or those who would teach in the future.   Martial artists at all levels are encouraged to attend.

Monday, June 29 - Monday's session will explore the Israeli self-defense system, Krav Maga, from the perspective of practitioners of other martial arts.   In addition to Moti's extensive Bujinkan experience, he is also an instructor of both Judo and Krav Maga.   This will be a great opportunity to explore the Krav Maga system, as well as to meet and train with others in the Atlanta martial arts community.
UPDATE:   Moti suggests bringing a rubber training knife and some kind of wrist wrap (like an ace bandage) if you have them.

Whether or not you can make the TaiKai, these are excellent opportunities to train with a very skilled martial artist.   For more info or if you have any questions, email the Atlanta Dojo at: 'Seminars [at] atlantabujinkan [dot] com.

Register now via PayPal or Credit Card:
ABD Seminar Registration - One Session $30 (USD)
ABD Seminar Registration - Both Sessions $55 (USD)
(PayPal & Credit Card payments will have an additional $2-3 added for handling)

Note:   If registering at the door, please pay by cash or money order only.

Sept 11-13, 2009 - Springfield, Illinois - BuFest
Seminar with Moti Nativ, Roy Wilkinson & Ed Martin, 15th Dans

The 11th annual BuFest Seminar features guest instructor Moti Nativ (Israel).   Moti will be supported by returning instructors Roy Wilkinson (USA) and Ed Martin (USA).

BuFest 2009 will be held again at Camp Cilca, near Springfield, Illinois.   Training begins Friday evening and goes through Sunday around noon.   Saturday night will include the annual cookout as well as a night training session, taught by Roy Wilkinson and Prof. Jeff Walker.   If last year's night training is any indication, this will be a fantastic aspect of the seminar.   This year there will also be a memorial for Dick Severance, a strong supporter and instructor at BuFest.
Click Here for the BuFest 2009 flyer.

In addition to training, the seminar cost includes: 3 meals on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, cabins, and bathroom facilities.   For more info, please see the BuFest web page or email the organizers, Angie Smith and Eric Strong, at:   'Bufest [at] yahoo [dot] com'.

December 2009 - Atlanta, Georgia - Ko-Daikomyosai 2009
Atlanta's Annual Seminar and Banquet celebrating Soke Hatsumi's Birthday

The Atlanta Bujinkan Dojo invites you to join us in celebrating Dr. Hatsumi's birthday at our annual Seminar and Banquet.   This Atlanta tradition goes back nearly 30 years, and is the first Bujinkan seminar of its kind in the west, inviting all instructors in attendance to teach and share their perspective on the art.

This year, the Atlanta event will add the Japanese 'Ko-' designator to the title, so as not to take away from or give offense to the primary Daikomyosai celebration in Japan (this year, Nov. 30 - Dec. 2).   Have no fear, we will have the same great event as ever - with the same spirit, camaraderie, great training and celebration of Dr. Hatsumi and the Bujinkan, along with a few awards, slideshow from the year, and of course, a great time socializing with friends, old and new!

Check back here again for more details as they are finalized.   On Saturday, there will be training during the day and the dinner & party will be that night.   If there are enough requests, we will also have Black Belt training on Sunday.   Let us know by email if you are shodan or above and would like to attend extra training at this level.   (Email: 'Seminars [at] atlantabujinkan [dot] com.')

We look forward to seeing you there!

March, 2010 - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - "International Seminar / Seminario Internacional" in Atlanta
Seminar with JM Serrano & Roy Wilkinson, 15th Dans

The "International Seminar / Seminario Internacional" will be a collaboration of two Bujinkan Master Instructors, JM Serrano (Spain) and Roy Wilkinson (USA).   Mr. Serrano is one of the pioneers of Bujinkan Ninjutsu in Spain and has given seminars throughout the Spanish-speaking world, in Europe and Latin America.   Mr. Wilkinson is one of the most senior Bujinkan instructors in the world outside of Japan, and has led numerous seminars around Europe and in America.   Both have earned the highest grading possible in this art, Judan Kugyo or 15th Dan.

This seminar will be the second time these two gentlemen have taught together.   The first was at TaiKai 2009 in Alicante, Spain, and was a great success - and a great time for students and instructors alike.   These two gentlemen offer a wealth of knowledge, skill and experience in their teaching that is hard to beat for quality and effectiveness.   The heart and spirit that they bring to the art is both warm and powerful, and is very evident in their training.   It will be well worth the trip to attend this special training event.

Exact dates will be determined as the seminar gets closer.   Check back here again for more info as plans are finalized.   [A Spanish-English translator will be present at the seminar.]

Marzo, 2010 - Atlanta, Georgia, EE.UU.
